Barnstable bans drones from beaches

“In a move town officials say will protect the privacy and safety of beachgoers, the Cape Cod town of Barnstable has banned drones from flying over its beaches.

“We want to be sure that we’re not allowing an activity that in some way would injure someone and we would carry liability for that,” said Barnstable Town Manager Thomas Lynch, who approved the beach drone ban Friday.”
