With air show coming, city considering regulating drone use

“An ordinance that prohibits flying a hobby drone within 5 miles of the Lincoln Airport, without notifying airport officials, is being considered by the City Council.

The drone ordinance, modeled after current Federal Aviation Administration rules, is aimed initially at regulating drone activity during the two-day Lincoln air show in early May, said City Attorney Jeff Kirkpatrick.”
