Use of drones is increasing with more drones in Michigan than registered piloted aircraft

When the US Farathane production facility in Auburn Hills caught fire in February, the Rochester Fire Department used their aerial drone to lend a hand.

The drone was able to spot areas of the fire for firefighters to focus on, using thermal imaging technology.
